What Can I Do with a Coffee Can?
So, thrifty moms, what do you suggest that I do with an old coffee can?
Right now, I can think of using it for storage for something like buttons or dice … Yeah, I know, not the most creative uses for old coffee cans.
Are there any uses for Coffee Cans that you can think of?

Make Back Porch Candle Lamps
1. Fill can with water, freeze.
2. Once water is frozen solid, draw or trace a design onto the can using dotted lines. Space your dots about 1/4″ – 1/2″ apart.
3. Using a hole punch and small hammer, punch all dots through. Be careful, the can will be wet and sweaty as the ice melts. You may want to have someone help hold the can or clamp it down somehow.
4. Once completed with step 3, dry your can well and spray paint in your favorite color.
5. Put glass rocks or other type of (non-flammable) filler at the bottom of can, about 1/2″ to stabilize candle holder.
6. Put votive candle in holder and put into bottom of can, light and enjoy!

Note: You may want to swap steps 1 and 2 above, depending on how intricate your design is. You don’t want the ice to be melting while your trying to draw your masterpiece! Oh yea, and be sure to use a permanent waterproof marker, I like Sharpie because of the thin tip.

Actually, there is one great use for them. If you fry anything for dinner using oil, getting rid of the oil down your kitchen drain tends to clog the drain.
So just empty the oil into a coffee can, cover it, and when the can is full of oil, seal it tightly with the coffee lid and duct tape, and throw it out in the garbage.

Decorate it (with paper, embellishments, paint, etc) and use it in the kids rooms for storage or to corral collections etc.
