What Can I Do with Sawdust?
I’m in the middle of hurricane preparation. Hurricane season is only a few weeks away, so the tree companies are quite busy here.
My yard is currently buried in sawdust. It smells wonderful, like fresh trees, but … are there any uses for sawdust? I’ll probably just rake it to the curb, but I thought I’d ask the creative and frugal moms here, first.
I look forward to hearing what I can do with sawdust.

Sawdust is used during the winter months, especially during ice or snow storms. You can cover your outdoor steps and walkways. It melts the ice and prevents slipping on steps, especially if they are made of marble or brick. Laying a foundation of sawdust before a snowfall also tends to melt the snow quicker.
